MY FIRST TIME @ CITIZEN’S BANK PARK
Yesterday, I went to my first ever Phillies game at Citizen’s Bank Park.  They were playing again the 2010 World Series Champions, The Giants.  Big DEAL!  Being a Yankee fan, I didn’t know what to expect.  I love baseball.  I’ve played it growing up from age 6 till 15 and still occasionally hit up the batting cages.
As my father and I walked to the Ballpark, we both agreed we weren’t as excited to see the Phillies play.  It’s not like we’re going to see the YANKEES!  I’ve seen the Phillies play the Yankees in Tampa during Spring Training March of 2010 and it was more exciting than the anticipation of going to this game, but nonetheless, it was my first time at Citizen’s Bank Park.
Once we got to the stadium, our spirits lifted!  I was excited to actually be allowed into the Ballpark, instead of just working right outside of it.  We got in and took those professional pictures at the gate.  Seriously, Citizen’s Bank Park is like a theme park: People getting characatures, those professional pictures, and all the food stands!  And because the stadium is fairly new, it was a great atmosphere to explore.
We had no idea where our seats were exactly.  We just knew they were nose bleed tickets.  There is no other way to go, but UP!  When we got to our seats, we enjoyed the view of the skyline, the players, and the HD Jumbo Screen.
We enjoyed a couple of beers and watched.  This game was exciting! Worley pitched the whole game.  Howard, Mayberry, and Utley hit homeruns….Utley’s was an IN-FIELD HOMERUN!!!  Ibanez with that amazing catch. Holey moley, it was awesome!  I was legit cheering for the Phillies.  They won 7-2.
My only qualm were the FANS! Not all of them, just the one’s around me in the Nose Bleed section.  They weren’t as rowdy as the one’s at Yankee games.  People are vulger and cheering hardcore, and it’s all in good fun.  No one in my section did anything remotely close. :-(
But all in all, it was a great game and experience.  I can’t wait to do it again!
Check my blog after September 20th, it’ll be my first time at the New Yankee Stadium!
